Needle Disposal Box: 2.5 Litre Yellow Sharpsguard Container

Our 2.5-litre sharps bin is designed for safely disposing of needles and other medical sharps such as razor blades, making it ideal for use by phlebotomists. It has a push-down, one-piece lid that secures your sharps. The container is supplied with the lid fully assembled. The box has a fill line within it and the contents must not exceed that line. When the needle disposal box is full to the fill line, you will need to dispose of the contents responsibly. You may be able to drop it off at a GP surgery or pharmacy, or some local councils do offer collection services (at a charge). The sharps must be disposed of every 3 months, even if it isn’t full yet, in order to stop the build-up of potentially contaminated materials.

This container is suitable for the disposal of the following items: needles, syringes, lancets, auto-injecting pens, connection needles, razors, blades, scalpels and more. A sharps bin can be used in both professional and home settings. It is especially useful for diabetics to keep in the house to dispose of insulin needles, or you can place the sharps bin in doctors’ offices, nurses rooms and hospitals to hold the medical sharps waste that accumulates in that working environment. The container labels indicate that disposal should be by incineration or other authorised process and is designed for the consignment of waste categorised by the following EWC codes: 18 01 01, 18 01 03, 18 01 09, 18 02 01, 18 02 02, 18 02 08. This 2.5-litre sharps bin is manufactured to BS7320:1990 standards.

Delivery & Returns

You are entitled to cancel your order and return your goods within 7 working days for a refund, excluding the cost of delivery and a 10% handling charge (this is to cover the cost of an inspection to ensure goods are in a saleable condition and returned to our stock).

To return your goods to us you need to either contact us by email: [email protected] or telephone 0161 367 1414 and quote the invoice number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days of receipt of the goods by us. In the event that goods need to be returned it is the responsibility of the customer to cover the cost of adequate insurance and the cost of the return. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty or damaged.

Any goods returned must be unused and in a saleable condition.

Please note, if you have ordered a product with a dip tube, this may require cutting before use. All of our dip tubes are a standard length to fit as many bottles as possible. If the dip tube is too long, this does not mean the product is defective, it simply requires trimming.

If you require your order to be packaged in a specific manner such as in boxes, please contact our customer service team as there may be extra charges. Your order will be despatched in the manner most suitable to the quantity of products ordered. Order notes without informing our customer service team does not guarentee your products will arrive as requested.
